It’s no secret that we all want more energy. We want to have the vitality to do the things we love and feel excited about life. But unfortunately, many of us are stuck in a rut where we just don’t have the energy to make a change. There are things that weigh us down and affect our levels of mental, physical, spiritual and emotional energy.

Imagine if we had the power to navigate these challenges to minimise the peaks and troughs that we felt to live a life that lights us up, allows us to perform at our best and then even motivate and inspire those around us. I’m talking… a High Performance life. And today, that is what I am writing about.

My first question is though:

What would you do if you had 3 times more energy?

If you really think about it, most of us would be happy with just a bit more energy. We could spend time with our families, take up new hobbies, or even just get through the day without feeling exhausted. But what if we had 3 times more energy?

The truth is, we would be able to accomplish so much more, and perhaps even strive for that dream that we are too afraid to talk about.

My second question is:

What role does mental, physical, spiritual and emotional energy play in our lives?

Mental energy is what allows us to focus and be productive. It’s the energy that allows us to think clearly and make decisions.

Physical energy is what allows us to move our bodies and get things done. It’s the energy that allows us to be active and engaged in life.

Spiritual energy is what allows us to connect with something greater than ourselves. It’s the energy that allows us to find meaning and purpose in life.

Emotional energy is what allows us to feel joy, love, and happiness. It’s the energy that allows us to connect with others and experience the world in a positive way.

All these energies are important, and they all play a role in our lives. But if not managed properly, we find ourselves low on one or more of these energies. This can lead to feeling stuck, and it can be hard to get out of this rut.

My third question is:

How does our current level of energy show up and manifest in our lives, and what can we do to improve it?

When we are low on energy, it often manifests in several ways. We may feel exhausted, both mentally and physically. We may find it hard to focus or make decisions. We may feel disconnected from others and ourselves. And we may just generally feel unhappy.

Fortunately, there are things that we can do to improve our energy levels. We know that we can eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, meditate, and connect with others and the list goes on and on, BUT what are the things that are not practised as much?

Today, I just want to give you three instant ways that if you do these consistently for 30 days you will notice the change within yourself and you will feel more vibrant than perhaps you ever had.

TIP #1 At the beginning of every significant block of time, whether it be the week or the month, I encourage you to look at your calendar and say ‘NO’.
What I mean is:

  • what have you booked in that you are too tired to attend?
  • what event are you going to that you know will drain your energy?
  • where have you overloaded your calendar to make others ‘happy’ but not yourself?
  • where can you protect your energy and get back a few blocks of time?
  • where can you say ‘No’?

TIP #2 I want you to think about the Relative Weight of Importance and Duration you give to certain thoughts.

Here what I mean is, you will often notice that on days where you are not feeling great your thoughts have often caused you to behave that way. You are paying too much attention to what you did wrong, or what hasn’t gone right or how that person treated you. So, for the next 30 days, every time you begin to notice yourself spiralling, I would like you to stop giving that thought too much ‘weight of importance’ and instead focus on what makes you happy and what you can control and work on that.

TIP #3 Practise the Release Meditation Technique daily for a minimum of 10 minutes a day.

This is a technique I often use and many other High Performers to bring some calm into our day. It’s a meditation used to relieve stress, wash away tension and just allow you to be present and in the current moment. This meditation can be done from the shortest period of time (2 minutes) however, just for the next 30 days I would love you to try it for 10 minutes a day.

Live a successful, purposeful and fully charged life everyday!
